Sacred Paws - Strike A Match

Full of raucous and layered Afropop jams, Strike A Light is one of the most cooly-gleeful records of 2016, following on from their debut mini-album, Six Songs, and featuring the single, Everyday.

Rachel Aggs (Trash Kit and Shopping) is possibly the most effortlessly great guitar players in punk - shining and clear, every note packs a punch and raises a smile. The twin vocals shared by drummer, and fellow ex-Golden Grrrl, Eilidh Rodgers match the playful and insistent instrumentation - playing off of and around each other, and bouncing off of walls in the best possible way!

On Strike A Match, Sacred Paws have added additional bass and horns and the result is something that Talking Heads might have dreamt up if they'd found themselves in a studio with with The Raincoats!
