The Nivens were an indie-pop band from Northumberland that existed between 1987 and 1990. Recording for the excellent Woosh label, Their debut single, Yesterday, hit the indie top ten in January 1989. 
 
This release is part of Optic Nerve Recordings' Optic Sevens series of strictly limited edition 7" single reissues.
