Mirah - You Think It's Like This But Really It's Like This

  • £12.99

Mirah's You Think It's Like  But Really It's Like This is one of the perfect debut albums of our time - "a deliciously seductive, complexly constructed sculpture."

Co-produced by Phil Elvrum (The Microphones, Mount Eerie, D+), whom Mirah had collaborated with as a member of The Microphones, You Think It's Like This... was recorded at home and at the big open room at Dub Narcotic Studios, is a wonder of lo-fi innovation and pure pop brilliance. These are sweet songs flowing-over with undertow and tension that sparked a revolution in the hearts of indie-pop experimentalists around the world.

Released by K Records in 2000, the album ushered in something of an early-2000s  renaissance for the label, with a string of exceptional releases by the likes of The Blow, Little Wings, Calvin Johnston, The Microphones, Karl Blau, Kimya Dawson, Jason Anderson and Tender Forever that followed.
