Minor Threat - Minor Threat
Originally released in 1984, this LP comprises of eleven songs taken from the first two Minor Threat 7"s, recorded in April and August 1981.
Minor Threat were formed in Washington, DC in 1980 by Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Embrace, The Evens, etc) Lyle Preslar (The Extorts), Brian Baker (Dag Nasty, Government Issue, etc), and Jeff Nelson (Teen Idles, Skewbald, Three, etc), and were pioneers of hardcore, straight edge, and DIY punk. Although relatively short-lived (disbanding in 1983), they are considered one of the most influential, and quintessential, bands of the second wave of punk rock.
