The J Ann C Trio at Tan-Tar-A on Modern Harmonic Records (the album cover shows the three members of the band posed with their instruments at a holiday resort)

The J Ann C Trio - At Tan-Tar-A

MODERN HARMONIC

  • £26.99

Originally released in 1966, very little is known about The J Ann C Trio, other than that for a period in the mid-Sixties, they were the house band at the Tan-Tar-A holiday resort at Osage Beach, on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. That hasn't stopped this private press record (sold only at the resort as a souvenir) reaching legendary status among collectors, and trading hands for thousands. This very first reissue makes the album available widely available for first time.

Slinky and minimal dreamy garage twang, it's not surprising that this mysterious music from this little-known band has garnered such a cult following. With Ann Delrene on vocals and bass, Carl Russell on guitar, and Jerry Dugan on drums, the group's unique versions of popular songs have stood the test of time with cool ease. Don't miss out on this treasure of a record that sounds as great as it looks like it should from the sleeve.
